Savannah Update

Savannah's adult coat is coming in!! She is getting really fluffy and her coat is thicker and more cottony.  Its very exciting!

The only downside is the increasing amount of mats I'm finding on her, even with daily brushing!

Here are a couple pictures of what we've been up to:

Meet Elsa

Hi Everybody!

I have loved reading about all the puppies!  I am so glad to get to see them as they get bigger :)  My name is Laura and together with my mom Rhonda, my husband Nick, 4 kids, and a golden retriever named Perry.....we welcomed Elsa (Bailey) into our hearts and home.  She is a doll.  She was very shy at first and spent a few months finding her place in the "pack" so to speak.  Now, she is definitely the boss of the four legged crew and a tie for the best kids' dog ever (we love our Perry too!).

Elsa is the chief cuddle expert around here and is up for anything!  Whether it is a ride in the car to drop the kids off, a walk, or an adventure....she is ready to go.  If there is no place to go, she is content to snuggle with the closest person :)  We feel very blessed to have her in our family.  I can't say enough good things about her!!

Lego's First Seven Months

Hello all,
We are the proud owners of Lego. Or perhaps more accurately, we are his parents and big sister. Lego was a long time coming (our daughter, Megan had been begging us for a dog for years) and has been a wonderful & much loved addition to our family.
We were somewhat protective of our pup in the beginning. He basically never left the house during his first 16 weeks. Although, he did have lots of visitors - mostly kids and loved all the attention. Once he was fully vaccinated though, we hit the ground running and got him out every day.
He loves people, especially kids and is very friendly. Other dogs, not so much! Our fault due to lack of exposure but we're working to correct that and get him some confidence with his fellow canines.
He accompanies us everywhere he can and we've tailored our outings and trips this summer to locales that accept our four-legged friends.

First night - in a crib in Megan's room. That lasted about three hours.
He's slept on our bed ever since!

Sandy and Luck at the dentist

Sandy was nervous to have his dental work done and asked the dentist if he could bring Luck with him to help him be brave.... our lovely dentist said sure,  especially because she's so well behaved and hypoallergenic!
She did great,  never got scared, and really helped Sandy.

Savannah

Hi everybody!

I am Lauren (nickname Elle), and I am the happy owner of Savannah (puppy name, Savvy)! I live in San Francisco and am a law student.  I also have a cat named Stella.  Stella and Savannah are the best of friends; they play together, sleep together, and keep each other company!

As this is my first blog, I will begin with when we first brought Savannah home!

Our first couple weeks were very smooth sailing, I was very impressed! Savannah slept through the night every night and was very quick to potty train and learn basic commands (like sit).  She was very shy at first, and was a bit frightened of other people and dogs. Even before she got her last round of puppy shots I was taking her for car rides and carrying her around to socialize her, but she was still a bit shy. After she got her last round of puppy shots and she started exploring the world on her own four feet she quickly came out of her shell and was soon bounding up to strangers hoping for a tummy rub!

She is the perfect little companion for me, I love her so much! Coton's really have the sweetest, funnest, cheeriest personalities, which i'm sure you all know!
